About Heritage College Knox

Mission and Vision

Heritage College Knox educates students to become self-confident lifelong learners in a supportive and Bible centered Christian community.

Each student’s learning journey is important. Learning at Heritage College is based on an in-depth knowledge of each student’s strengths, challenges and growth opportunities. We are interested in where students have come from and where they are going. To nurture personal growth our students are taught to be reflective learners and self-managers.

Learning never stops. How and when learning occurs is ever-changing and our teachers and students are encouraged to be curious, adventurous, investigative and craftsmanlike in their approach to learning. Creativity is not bound to any particular subject or location. To build creativity our students are taught to be creative thinkers and independent enquirers.

Heritage College is a place to belong, a place where problems are solved and relationships restored. Our staff and students are invited to be collaborative, open and empathic. To develop an inclusive learning community our students are taught to be effective participators and team workers.

The College Board aims for continuity and longevity of service from Board Members to ensure that the school has stability into the future. The Board meets regularly throughout the year to consider the educational, financial, operational and strategic issues that the school faces from a governance perspective. The Board works closely with the School Principal to ensure that the school delivers the best possible educational outcomes and that the school embraces continuous improvement. The members of the School Board are selected with a view to their individual expertise and their ability to contribute to the governance responsibilities of the Board.

Our facilities

Our campus in Ferntree Gully is a purpose-built school that we are continually renovating to update and provide a high quality facility that will assist our students and staff in their education.

This campus provides ample space for our school to grow, plenty of scope for our students to learn and imagine, as well as accessibility to our community.

Please enjoy a tour of our campus via the interactive photosphere tour below.
